River Dove Brookhouse Farm - Water Profile
The Society is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new stretch of the River Dove.
The new 2.3 mile stretch it is at Brookhouse Farm Scropton and joins our existing stretch please see attached map.
This stretch is now open for fishing.
Fishing is from a single bank as indicated on the map. Brookside Farm is adjacent to our existing length at Scropton; directions in Membership Card. Note: there is no access between the new and existing lengths.
All gates must be closed when entering and leaving Brookhouse Farm
R Dove Additional Rules for all Lengths
1 All Land adjacent to these fisheries is private. Members who wish to be accompanied by a non- fishing-guest must be in possession of a named Non Fishing Guest Permit for each individual guest.
2 The season is from 1 July to 14 March, however, fishing in accordance with EA rules is also allowed 15 March to 15 June. Members wishing to fish 16 June to 30 June must be in possession of a current Work Party Pass.
Warning:- BEWARE OVERHEAD ELECTRIC POWER CABLES
Members are advised never to leave their car in a field containing cattle or horses.
Car parking:- Turn sharp right immediately after crossing the brook; park vehicle before double gate, do not obstruct the track. Members may take their vehicle (at own risk) through the double gate and EITHER follow the track to car park at end of the field OR drive across the field to the left, through locked gate (code see below), to access the river. Access to the other end of the fishery is either on foot or take vehicle (at own risk) down locked (code see below) gated track off Scropton Lane; park vehicle by railway underpass. Proceed to river on foot via underpass. YOU MUST NOT CROSS THE RAILWAY LINES.
The Code for the locked gates can be obtained either from the monthly meeting or from an Official of the Society – you will need to give your membership details.
